1. Coldplay - They weren't originally called Coldplay.
The Band was formed under the name Pectoralz. They swapped the name for starfish and then settled for Coldplay. 

2. The Beatles - Bob Dylan got them into smoking pot.
The Beatles met Bob Dylan during their 1964 tour of the US and he offered them some cannabis to smoke. They enjoyed the experience and began smoking marijuana on a regular basis. 

3. Metallica - Kirk Hammett took guitar lessons from Joe Satriani. 
Prior to joining Metallica in 1983, Hammett played in Bay Area legends Exodus and was one of the band's founding members, starting up the group back in '79. After two years, he started taking lessons from Satriani. He gave lessons out of a small music store in Berkeley, California.

4. Guns N' Roses - Slash turned his house into a zoo. 
Slash filled his house with venomous snakes, lizards, eight cats and a mountain lion cub named Curtis. 

5. Led Zeppelin - Jimmy Page was a famous early adopter of Gibson's double necked guitar. 
Page did not begin playing his double-neck because it looked cool or represented the “more” Zep became known for. Page got his custom red double-neck because he needed it to perform “Stairway to Heaven.”

6. Ed Sheeran - His full name is Edward Christopher Sheeran. 
Edward Christopher Sheeran - "Ed" Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter. Raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he moved to London in 2008 to pursue a musical career.oyed the experience and began smoking marijuana on a regular basis. 

3. Linkin Park - From Xero to Hybrid Theory to Linkin Park.
The band changed its name twice before rising to fame as Linkin Park. They began their journey with the name Xero and then changed it to Hybrid Theory before adopting Linkin Park.
